Work process

Once you contact me through email or any of the social networks, we will start a process of work and collaboration with a series of key steps:

ONLY EDITING WORK

If you need me to edit graphics, diagrams and/or scientific figures for a scientific publication, I will require access to the entire scientific article.

I will make a first visualization of all graphs, diagrams and/or scientific figures and later I will evaluate the viability of the work.

That is, the time that I will need to internalize the article, suggest you possible changes, edit all the elements and read the “Guidelines” of the scientific journal to which you plan to send the article (size, resolution and the format of files required). This initial step is very important.

Once this is done, I will send a money estimate for you to accept without additional cost. In case of rejection, our connection ends at this point.

In case of accepting, we will start the editing process, we will communicate via e-mail or via Skype if necessary and we will establish a "Deadline" for the delivery of the mutual agreement.

Once everything is finished, you will receive the corresponding invoice on paper in which I will include an additional concept to that I offer for free.

"Change due to rejection: Re-export the graphs, figures, diagrams and/or illustrations in other formats in case of rejection of the scientific article. Maximum 3 rejections".

After the bank transfer is executed, you will receive all the ordered work.

DESIGN WORK

If you need to create a scientific illustration from scratch the process will be longer.

You must send me a hand-made sketch with all the ideas, concepts and drawings and we will hold a meeting via Skype to answer questions and to make suggestions. This step can be repeated several times if the Illustration is very complex, (e.g., scientific poster, etc). Later I will evaluate the viability of the work, the time necessary to carry out and the difficulty of the illustration.

Once this is done, I will send a money estimate for you to accept without additional cost. In case of rejection, our connection ends at this point.

Once everything is finished, you will receive the corresponding invoice on paper.

SKYPE SESSION

I also offer sessions via Skype for solving technical questions or figure editing for both students and researchers who want to be their own illustrators.

Legal conditions:

MUSHER Studio promise to have "Total Confidentiality" and not to disseminate any scientific work prior publication.
The client must inform me after its publication to be able to upload the edited or illustrated elements to the collection on the website.
The client is obliged to include the name of MUSHER Studio in the figure legends or acknowledgments in case of scientific articles. If the illustrations are isolated and direct for printing, such as posters, the watermark of MUSHER Studio are include in the picture.
